A young valedictorian, struggling to write his speech, embarks on a journey around his home island.
My debut short film, Steps on the Shore, was filmed in the summer of 2022 in Saipan, Northern Marianas Islands. With the help of the Northern Marianas College and Grace Christian Academy, the film was produced over two weeks.
Tech Specs.
The film was shot on the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6k with 24mm and 16mm Rokinon prime lenses. Locations include various vistas and locations around Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands. The film was edited and color graded in Davinci Resolve Studio.
