A warm, intimate look into the workings of a small Italian-inspired restaurant on the island of Saipan.
The Angry Penne (the movie) was filmed in the summer of 2024 in Saipan, Northern Marianas Islands. With the help of the restaurant’s team, the film was shot over the course of three weeks and edited for two weeks after.
Tech Specs.
The film was shot on the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6k with a 24mm Rokinon prime lens. Because the film was shot during the restaurant’s working hours, the entirety of the film is shot with available light. The bmpcc6k’s dual native ISO (3200) was especially useful in night shoots. The film was edited and color graded in Davinci Resolve Studio.
